Adult Sunday School

Every Sunday Morning beginning at 9:45am

All are invited to stop by any of the Adult Sunday School Classes at any time. Coffee and treats are served every Sunday morning outside the Fellowship Room. The Young Men's Bible Class invites everyone to ham biscuits the first Sunday of every month in their classroom from 9:00 - 9:45.

 

Adult Bible Discussion

Heritage Room

Using books and videos of all kinds, this class studies and discusses the issues that affect how we read the Bible. Currently reading Half Truths by Adam Hamilton. Past books include: ASK: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age by Scott J. and Arthur D. Jones, Faith of a Mockingbird by Matt Rawle, Sacred Thirst by Craig Barnes, An Altar in the World by Barbara Brown Taylor, and Revelation for Everyone by N.T. Wright.


Christians in Contemporary Culture

Library

This class seeks to explore our place as Christians in contemporary culture
using a wide variety of materials, both theological and secular. Recent studies include:
The Answer to Bad Religion Isn't No Religion by Martin Thielen and
Sinning Like a Christian by William Willamon.


Young Adults

Fellowship Room

A class focused on the issues facing those between the age 20 and 50. Currently using a lectionary based discussion guide to learn more about the Bible and ways to apply its teachings to everyday life. Great discussion is had!


A class for men of all ages! YMBC begins at 9:45, but typically gathers earlier for coffee and conversation. Uses The Present Word curriculum, current theme: “The Christian Community Comes Alive.” The Men's Bible Class, more affectionately known as the Young Men's Bible Class, is more than just a Sunday School Class, it's a community that works, prays, studies, works on mission projects, and supports the life of First Presbyterian Church.
